The staff were great and the room was absolutely spotless. The pool was also very good and the whole place was very clean. The food at the the pool bar was very good and I would recommend the Spanish omelette but be warned, bring your appetite for this one! Will stay there again.

The New Folias is in a great location. We had beautiful seaviews from our room. Five minute walk to a lovely sandy beach. Shops and restaurants nearby. Good bus service to other resorts. Hotel staff welcoming and helpful.

Good location near the beach, sunlight on the balcony and a little park. Breakfast adequate, if not inspired. Annoying that the room safe had an extra daily charge. Nice touch that we got a take-with-you breakfast for a 5 am departure.

Internet was very bad and some small issues with the toilet. Everything else was very nice. Everyone was very nice to us, the pool, bar, reception was cool. Good cooking utensils but no salt, pepper or oil etc was given which is unnecessary to buy yourself. Coffe machine, toaster, water cooker were good to have. Room was old but well kept. 5 min to the beach

Nice quiet location, close enough to walk to restaurants and the sea. Lovely staff, clean and tidy accommodation, nice pool area, you can always get a sunbed due to the no holding sunbeds rule which is enforced. No 6am towels on sunbeds crew. Bliss!

The property is in an excellent location, with sandy beaches, scenic coastal walking paths, and many shopping and dining options nearby. If you’re looking for a room with a view, I’d definitely suggest going for a sea view room. You’ll get to enjoy the beautiful ocean view and soak up some sunshine on your balcony all day long. Plus, you can check out the pool area and pick the perfect spot before heading down. The staff was very friendly and helpful with any questions or needs. The housekeeping was excellent as well. There was room for parking if you have a car, but the bus stops are close by and the public transportation is excellent for exploring the main areas along the coast. The hotel is a bit old and could use some sprucing up, but it’s still a great place to stay! I spent a week in Gran Canaria and I have to say, the Hotel New Folias was in the best area I could’ve picked. 😎

The staff was excellent. The staff at the reception was very friendly, smiling and helpful. The ”Poolguy” was something special. Smiling and always available to help you with the sunshade or moving your sunbed. A big thank you to him:)))). The pool and the area around it was big enough and there was always space and a sunbed for everyone. The music was maybe too loud and old from The 80’s and 90’s only. I also notised that the small tables beside the beds were very old, grey and dirty. The size of the hotel was suitable , not too big or small. We liked the small kitchen in the room and we loved the balcony with the view We were able to see the sea and some beautiful houses. The bed was nice and good. The only thing in the room we missed was a place for your luggage instead of the floor. A small minus in our opinion was that if you wanted to change your pool-towel more than once a week or if you wanted to use the safe in the room you had to pay extra. The area San Agustin is nice and peaceful.

Hotel is good clean, lovely pool area. Slight competition of loungers and some booking of chairs but staff doesn't stop it. Food was plentiful and good prices, burger for 9€. Steak/grill restaurant next door was lovely. Lots of steps and small lifts, but hotel doesn't advertise itself as step free anyway. Rooms slightly dated, but everything clean and well equipped. I would come back! 😊

Nice pleasant hotel

Nice clean hotel with good facilities and friendly helpful staff- no bar apart from pool bar which closes early but plenty of bars nearby- only quibble was that bed was very squeaky and annoying but otherwise very well positioned hotel for everything
