This hotel exceeded my expectations. First thing is the staff: excellent service, friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. Maintenance is also impeccable. Everything works, is clean and well kept. Breakfast is amazing! Variety, quality, flavor and nutrition are very well balanced. Probably one of the top three I've had in my life of extensive travels. The only thing really that could use a little improvement is the drink menu at the bar. The quality is great but selection is somewhat limited. We'll definitely be back.

This is the place to stay when in Salvador. The hotel has comdortable beds, excellent breakfast buffet and tasty menu for other meals. A small pool on the ground floor deck which looks out onto the street and beach (perfect for viewing Carnaval). Almost every amenity you could need is within walking distance, including a mall. A short, easy Uber ride to other attractions in Salvador. I look forward to staying here during non-Carnaval time

The property is well kept, and the staff was truly invested in my experience. Nicest people and quick to respond to my requests. The gym is not really up to par so if you work out you might want to figure out an alternative. Overall this is an excellent choice and would stay here if I ever go back to Salvador. Definitely worthy of 4 stars.

Excellent location across the street from the beach. Very good breakfast buffet. Rooms are standard but clean. Some street noise. Mall with food court three blocks away. Watch for ancillary charges at checkout. Fee to check in early (before 3:00). Overall, a good experience and would stay again.

I don't often write reviews, but the staff at Monte Paschal Praia really do deserve some recognition for being so friendly, welcoming and helpful, especially when dealing with a complicated multi-part reservation, broken adapters et cetera. We were upgraded to a sea-view room, with a wonderful view of the bay. The hotel itself is clean and comfortable, the breakfast buffet is delicious and the pool is perfect for cooling off on hotter days.

This is an average hotel at best. Although I appreciated the cleanliness, the helpfulness of the staff and the ocean view from my room, I personally did not enjoy the Barra area and felt the hotel was not really worth the price. I would look elsewhere next time in Salvador.

Hotel maravilhoso. Eu e meu esposo fomos para curtir o carnaval é bem localizado em frente ao circuito Barra/ondina. Fomos para camarotes e blocos tudo andando.

Estivemos nas vésperas e estendendo até o carnaval, o hotel é bacana, mas a limpeza da sacada deixou a desejar, bem como as cadeiras de plástico de baixa qualidade disponível. Os cardápios do hotel que já tinham preços altos, foram todos alterados com a chegada do carnaval e ficou absurdamente mais caros itens de alimentação e bebidas. Levando em consideração esses pontos e que a expectativa pelo hotel seria alta devido o tarifário das diárias no período, considero que foi razoável a hospedagem. Detalhes como esses ofuscaram o glamour de estarmos hospedados no circuito, onde os trios passavam e muitos paravam para interagir com a imprensa local (que tinha locação no hotel e transmissão ao vivo).
