First the pros: It’s a lovely, newly renovated property, and our room had a gorgeous view of the Plaza Mayor. The building and room were charming, clean, and comfortable. The cons: A very big one for us was that the WiFi is weak and spotty. It was difficult to look up information about Salamanca sights online or even do email without interruptions and long waits. One of us had a zoom convo scheduled and had to go to the owners’ other property to use the WiFi there. The other downside is that this is not a hotel and there is no front desk, but there also is no access code to enter and no pre-pay option through Expedia. We received a message about an hour before check-in time (which is late, 4 pm) saying we should go to pick up the keys and pay at a hotel several blocks away. We were already at the property and asked that someone come and meet us there, which they did. The staff was pleasant and making the best of the situation. In sum: stunning view, truly lovely property, but substandard WiFi and inconvenient check-in.
