"Booked a room at the Bathgate motel during Xmas time. The town of Egmont was super quiet (we barely saw people outside). The room has a beautiful ocean marina and ocean view. It also has a balcony where you can enjoy a coffee or a meal. "

"Spent 2 nights with family in January 2026, way off season. Loved the location - very quiet, but just 4 minutes drive to downtown and the mall. Very comfortable beds, used the smart TV to entertain the kid with Netflix, Youtube etc. There was a fridge and a microwave which are always good to have. The only tiny issue was a fancy faucet in the bathroom that was spilling water off the sink when not fully open - I was told ongoing renovations would take care of that. But the general condition of the property was very good. We liked it so much I already booked another stay for next month's long weekend."
