Quinta da Marka is an amazing place to stay. They view of the Douro Valley abs River from the terraces and the pool are sensational. The service was brilliant, with Angela going above and beyond to ensure we had an excellent stay. The breakfast was good, with lots of options, dinner and the selection of wine and port was also great. Couldn’t recommend it highly enough, we will be returning.

Stunning property, spacious rooms, very clean and comfortable. We were met by John who took excellent care of us but the other members of staff were just as helpful. The restaurant on site was not only convenient but served a tasty dinner and brekky. The weather was perfect and the pool highly enjoyable, overlooking tbe douro valley/river. I would recommend a bottle of wine while you're swimming. I would love to return here one day.

Angela the manager and all the staff were amazing. The place is stunning in a private vineyard with amazing tranquil views. We had two dinners there and they were amazing. Their own wine was delicious.

This stay was a top highlight during our recent trip to Portugal with our 6-month old baby! Angela was incredible from the very beginning, ensuring we were comfortable, had what we needed, and extra accommodating given we had our baby with us. Angela, the manager, is very friendly and helpful. So is her sister. She even invited one friend to sing with her for the guests before dinner on Thursday. I also enjoyed talking with one of the owners Carlos about plats and vineyards and winemaking in the region. The entire property was beautifully designed and maintained with a variety of plants, in addition to the vines.

We loved our stay here and will be sad to leave. The view is incredible and all of the team were so lovely and kind. Breakfast was so good and dinner each evening was very tasty. Highly recommend!

I spent one night here and had a lovely time. The staff is so kind and welcoming. The room was comfortable and clean and the bathroom was excellent. We were advised by Angela (the property manager) to ask for room 1 next time which has an incredible view of the valley.

I don’t even know where to begin with this amazing place! Angela and staff went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. Truly made us feel like family! We absolutely loved our stay at Quinta da Marka! It was beautiful and on such a picturesque spot along the river. It was so relaxing and a restful spot for our honeymoon. The train station is nearby to get to other cities if you wanted to, otherwise it is quite isolated in this area. Walking over to Quinta do Crasto for a wine tasting & tour was a highlight of the area too! The Quinta offered breakfast, lunch, and dinner which was very convenient. Angela was so helpful in getting us checked in and recommending things to do. We would recommend this to anyone heading to the Duoro Valley!

From the moment we arrived we were welcomed and felt at home. The views from here are just amazing. We would have been happy to have stayed on the terrace all day. All of the staff are so lovely. Angela made sure we were happy and gave us advice on where to visit. Renn & Rosa looked after us at Breakfast & Dinner and cared so much. Milene cooked amazing food each evening there was no need to go out. Thank you everyone we will be back.

My stay at Quinta da Marka was amazing! Angela is so wonderful. She goes above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need and enjoy the experience. She even drove me to and from the train station and to the wineries nearby. The rest of the team is also very kind and helpful. The property is impeccable! The views are unreal and the rooms are spacious and immaculate. Great food and wine are available for very reasonable prices. I wouldn't change a thing! Thank you Angela and team!

Loved this hotel! Amazing views and wonderful staff. Angela was so helpful in getting us a reservation at a nearby vineyard for a tour and tasting. You’ll definitely need a car, as there really is nothing within walking distance. If you want to get away from it all and enjoy amazing views of the valley in a quiet environment, this is the place for you. The room was spacious and the bed was super comfortable. Our meal at dinner was very good, and so was the complimentary breakfast. There are other restaurants down by the river, but it's a bit of a drive on narrow, winding roads. I would not recommend driving them in the dark. No reason to really go anywhere else while at Da Marka. They have everything you need right there. Highly recommend this spot! One minor issue was that the walls of the rooms are pretty thin, so you can hear your neighbors moving around and toilets flushing, but guests were generally quiet.
