"The castle is in a beautiful spot. Close to the vineyards and Saint-Emilion. We were in France for 12 days and this was our favorite part. The Patio room is absolutely beautiful! "

"Séjour d'une nuit avec ma femme. La chambre est convenable pour le prix mais située a proximité direct d'un collège ce qui est plutôt bruyant le matin. Ne posera pas problème le week-end au contraire puisque la chambre ne donne pas sur la route. Propreté convenable. Petit déjeuner un peu cher pour ce qui est servi."

One needs the comfort and quiet in order to try to recover some lost sleep/jet lag. The chateau offers the additional benefit of producing some amazing wines at very reasonable prices. "Pros are that it's right in the middle of Saint Emilio so big plus. Clean property. Cons-Very small room-at least ours was. we learned there were larger rooms in an annex across the street. Wish we had known that. It's almost a B&B...biggest complaint was the morning staff person. Very unfriendly, very unhelpful. Seemed to either hate her job and/or hate guests. The afternoon/evening person was terrific-almost the complete opposite. Though it worked out, taxi availability is an issue so figure...

"Creaking floor in an attic room wasn’t great. Nice view from the window, if you were very small. Tricky staircase to deal with and very low ceilings in corridor. Looked like a fabulous room was unoccupied on ground floor but we weren’t offered it (even for a price) Hostess nice and helpful but no English. Continental breakfast was nice. Great location"
