"i absolutely adored my stay here. the hosts are super friendly and helpful, giving you a family-like feeling. the rooms are simple and tidy with great comfortable beds. there is even a nice big sunny balcony overseeing this beautiful calm land. and a small gym room with a bench press and weights. if you are in this lovely area, look no further, this place is like home. it is simply fantastic. No sound issues from rooms next door or above (we were ground floor). Great shower! But no tea/coffee facilities in room. The usual...

"Sehr saubere, neue Zimmer in Echtholz. Tolle Betten. Man fühlt sich sofort wohl. Frühstück für €10 ausreichend mit Kaffee in Thermoskanne am Tisch. Spezielle Kaffeewünsche, wie Cappuccino od. Latte Macciato, sowie Frühstücksei bzw. Rührei nur gegen Aufpreis, auch Orangensaft kostet extra. In der Beschreibung sollte auch erwähnt sein, dass das Restaurant Dienstags Ruhetag hat. Service und Empfang sehr freundlich. Falls ich wieder mal in der Gegend bin, werde ich aber dort wieder buchen."

"Charming, family run hotel in a quiet section of Plauen, close to the city center. Breakfast included and really good. Staff helpful. Owner kind enough to sell me a beer even though restaurant had closed. She found me a charger for my IPad, Room was small but comfortable, clean and priced well. Book early, this hotel is popular and fills up fast."

"The spa, gym, and lake views are excellent. The hotel has a very 90's feel and no room service (this was a bummer as we had a lake view room and wanted to stay in and relax). The beirgarten by the water has excellent food, although it closes at 930pm (as does the only restaurant on site (a buffet). The place was comfortable for 1 dayx the lake location and sauna were exactly what we wanted"

"I recently stayed at Hotel Adler in Rudolstadt and was impressed by its unbeatable location—right in the city center, just steps from the main square, the train station, and the stunning baroque Heidecksburg Castle. The hotel is housed in a beautiful historic building dating back to 1880, which adds a lot of character and charm to the experience. The rooms are spacious, cozy, and tastefully decorated, reflecting the style of the period while still offering modern comfort. There is parking available, which is a great convenience if you’re traveling by car. One downside is that the rooms are not air-conditioned, which can be a bit uncomfortable in hot weather. However, given the age and style of the building, it’s understandable and didn’t detract too much from the overall experience. The staff is friendly, though they speak only German, which might be a bit challenging for non-German speakers. As for breakfast, it’s fairly basic—not outstanding, but perfectly adequate to start the day. Overall, Hotel Adler is a great choice if you’re looking to stay somewhere with character and a central location in Rudolstadt."

"I chose this hotel due to its idyllic look & since I was traveling with 4 colleagues, they all booked here too. On arrival, found out you don’t stay in the schloss, rather a very unattractive side building, freezing cold, tiny room. The restaurant was closed, another reason I had chosen this hotel was because it had a restaurant, nobody told us it would be closed. Very poor. The service was friendly at breakfast & that’s my reason for ranking this at okay. The lady was lovely & made our start to each day a pleasant one ."
