"Small boutique hotel, room was small but well appointed, could have used a dresser or more closet space. Continental Breakfast in lobby was quite nice. Staff and location very good!"

"Upon arriving at the property we were quickly greeted by the bell hop who doubled as the valet. He was very polite & accommodating as my wife is currently in a wheelchair and he made sure she was able to safely enter the hotel. The front desk was extremely courteous, as well. The entire staff was very friendly and professional. They were all very well dressed and busy attending to the inner workings of the hotel, but would stop whatever they were doing to attend to the needs of the guests. The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful ! We were quite amazed at the twelve foot ceilings in our room & throughout the hotel, the walls were adorned with a very classic golden damask wallpaper. It all flowed quite seamlessly. The Pennisula Grill was quite impressive, as well. In all fairness, it was a Friday night. With that being said, things had gotten off to a slow start & our waiter was quite busy and his demeanor was initially not overly welcoming. However, once dinner ensued, our dining experience quickly became one to be remembered. Their filet literally melts in your mouth. Everything was delicious ! Outside the restaurant, is a very relaxing courtyard, complete with tropical plants & fountains. Simply beautiful. The hotel is located right across from the mkt. and just above Rainbow Row. Very conveniently located for all this beautiful city has to offer ! Cannot recommend this hotel enough ! Will certainly stay here again Thank you to all who made this trip wonderful Stars: 5/5"

"Historical, charming. We loved the courtyard -- it was so peaceful & wonderful to hang out with our coffee and tea. All of the people working the desk were a pleasure to chat with and always greeted us when we walked in the door or were heading out. It was easy walking distance to so many great places to eat or drink. Try Charleston City Market, Pearlz & Magnolia's on East Bay, Dock Street Theater for Spoleto Festival, The Black Fedora Comedy Mystery Theatre."
