"There was a problem with communication about the property. I was never told about the power outage and also the property did not have AC system in all rooms. Some of the doors were bad and were never fixed and this was the same complaint for past reviews. The host did not care too much. We were checked in late and were not even compensated for the check out. They had "I do not care" attitude. It is a beautiful property but a terrible host."

"The place was beautiful but the location not. We felt unsafe. I booked for a place in Newlands close to the Two Oceans race. My booking said that i booked in newlands. The owner said that it was Hotel.Com that made the mistake. As i said, the place was beautiful inside but not sure how we ended up in kalkbay? "

"What a lovely stay. The hotel is in a beautiful location overlooking a peaceful beach and the ocean. The staff were so friendly and welcoming and took care of me during my stay. The bar and restaurant staff, transport desk, reception staff were all great and made my stay one to remember. I would like to particularly thank the lovely Sonia who looked after me everyday at breakast time, and the spa manager who was also super friendly and helped me during my stay. Thank you all. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend. Thank you. "
