We Never Made it...but that's OK!

For excellent reasons, we were unable to make it but that doesn't mean it was "this" or "that". I vouch for this hotel as the majority of hotels I've chosen for our trips were amazing! Perhaps in the future we'll try you again!

Pros: Location is fantastic, close to everything. Staff is the highlight: everyone is friendly, helpful and customer-oriented. Breakfast is really good quality. Lobby is modern and nice. Hotel is clean and quiet at night for a good night’s sleep. Cons: This is by no means a 5-star hotel (at international level) as they advertise. It’s a 3-star at best, based on my experience around the world. Here’s why: Our room was a big disappointment: super-basic with absolutely nothing that pointed to a quality hotel. The bathroom was dated, had standard basic artifacts and older fixtures. Toiletries were unimpressive (not premium or known brands as what you get in real 5-star hotels) The room had the usual mini-fridge cabinet with no fridge inside. Walls were paper-thin and we could hear the people sharing a wall with us chat or cough. The gym was also underwhelming: the only upper body machine was seriously misaligned which could lead to injury, there were very limited leg workout options other than free weights, there were no yoga mats, towels or disinfecting wipes. I don’t use free weights or treadmills so my options there were slim. The hotel advertises a swimming pool and hydro massage but both were empty (it’s the end of October, which is Spring there). At this level I would expect the pool to be open and climatized. We only ate one dinner at the restaurant and were also unimpressed: we ordered grilled chicken and it was dry and quite tasteless.
