"TLDR: Modest but solid choice for an overnight stay for biobay. The restaurant has the best food and drinks in Esperanza, hands down (I went to all of the restaurants). Get the burger. "Had a short but really nice stay. The property is beautiful and the rooms are perfect a perfect stop for touring the bioluminescent bay near by. Everything is pretty close, but renting a golf cart is not a bad option if you have mobility issues as there are a few hills to walk up. Staff were awesome and supplied us with tons of little things to help us enjoy the local experience. "

"Blue Horizon was everything I wanted it to be... and MUCH MORE !!!... The "MUCH MORE" part comes in the form of.. DAVE !!!... MANAGER/CONCIERGE/HOST... he is ALL of these things... and performs every position with APLOMB !!!... Man oh man... Dave checked me in and was a helpful host... IMMEDIATELY !!!!... The guy literally walked me to my room... brushing away palm fronds that dared to be in the way of our path !!!... On the way, he talked about the hotel, the amenities... He explained...

"The room was quaint and clean, with a great little balcony. The pool was nice, and the view of the pounding surf was spectacular. The kitty, Selva, is now my furry friend 🐈😊 I loved my stay. The staff was friendly and accommodating. It was also close to all my points of interest. I would stay again. It's certainly different and more tranquil than the touristy areas."

"Well located within walking distance to the beach and the Estacion restaurant. Rooms are very clean, with slightly weird but harmless modern decor. There's a nice courtyard and a small pool. Rooms vary, but ours had two porches, one overlooking the pool and one overlooking the garden/patio area. Pay attention to the check in procedure, there is no desk onsite, you need to give them a card for incidentals ahead of time and then they send an entry code."
