"The hotel was lovely but the staff was the absolute highlight. Friendly, genuine, and attentive. Everything was excellent and we especially loved the sweet hotel cat, Tequila. All the guests who saw her stopped to take pictures or give her affection. Room was specious and the hotel offered a lot of amenities."
"Our experience at this hotel was beyond excellent. The room was so clean and modern and had two rooms with large rounded windows and a lovely balcony where you can see the city/port. The shower was clean and had great water pressure and the beds were made nicely each day. We were so happy with our view but when we went to the rooftop it was even more breathtaking, providing 360 degree views of the mountains, city, and water- a great photo opp. The staff was helpful and nice, especially Giancarlo at the front desk who was so helpful in figuring out the area and getting to the ferry. The free beach was fun and the restaurants delicious. Be sure to have a traditional dish like focaccia and pesto pasta, tiramisu or gelato. There is a small shop for essentials as well as another small shop for bottled water and snacks just a few blocks away. We wish we didn’t have to leave this little piece of heaven."
"Very nice English speaking staff, so helpful.
The small bathing area is very nice.
We were overlooking the beach which came with a beautiful view .
There is a room and hallway to the lift that is very depressing, although authentic, could really do with modernising , this also applies to the breakfast room.
It was lovely having breakfast overlooking the sea , you don’t have to sit in the breakfast room ."
"Our stay at Splendide Riviera in Rapallo was exceptional. The hotel is impeccably clean (cleaner than most 5 star hotels in the area), beautifully maintained, and reflects great pride in every detail.
What truly sets it apart is the staff—warm, professional, and genuinely attentive.
If possible, book the Hemingway Suite. Knowing Ernest Hemingway stayed here while writing Cat in the Rain adds a unique historical touch.
A perfect blend of historic charm, elegance, outstanding service, and a prime waterfront location. We would gladly return and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Rapallo."
