Terrible customer service. Mit, the front desk rep, was awful. My daughter had a softball tournament, and we decided last minute to stay in Riverside since their last game ended very late and they played early the next morning. When we checked in, the lobby had a funny smell, and the room had the same smell. My daughter was going to shower, but when she turned on the water, there was no cold water. After waiting a couple of minutes, I called the front desk. Mit said he had to come upstairs to verify there was no hot water. After waiting for 30 minutes, I called again, and it was almost 11 PM. He yelled, saying he was the only one working and told me to wait. Within 10 minutes, I called again and requested a refund, which he agreed to. He told me to come down to the lobby, but when I got there, he said I needed to call Expedia, raising his voice. Luckily, I got a good rep from Expedia and got a refund. While waiting for confirmation that my room was canceled, Mit ignored me for about 10 minutes and then said, 'Well, what are you waiting for?' At that point, I was done. Thank God for the Expedia rep and the Marriott next door. Lesson learned: don't go cheap, even if it's for one night.
