Great location and a fantastic building, we asked for a high floor quiet room and that is exactly what we were given. Room was large, well equipped, yes room decor a little dated but that adds to the charm of this hotel. Breakfast was very good, great selection. Could not fault the Staff who were very helpful and friendly
Room was spotless and kept at a good temperature, great to come back to after a winter walk around Riga
Well worth a stay

Nice Hotel
Well presented hotel in good location. Breakfast slightly underwhelming.
The room was airy and big, beautiful windows and green view over a park. Everything comfortable, the bathroom had a bathtub and excellent shower.
The breakfast buffé was also very much to our liking and they had the best ryebread we´ve ever had!
Just passing thru Riga as part of a larger trip in Finland and the Baltics. Loved the hotel on the edge of Art Nouveau district. - I had a spacious, well appointed bedroom, main room, and 5-piece bathroom with double sinks. The lobby and breakfast room staff were courteous and competent.
Everything was in walking distance.
Friendly staff. In our room ventilation in bathroom was full of dust and shower courtain was coloured because it hasnt beem washed for a while.
I stay here every time I come to Latvia. This year an air freshener was used in public areas that gave an impression of unclean although everything looked and was good. I will continue to come here. Thank you to the helpful staff.
had a great stay, great service, especially Jaekop in the reseption. He saved our Rainy monday. Sauna area was very ”Finnish like” and clean, we liked the Harvia kiuas. Junior suite was like from the movie Pretty woman. 90s’ but bleasant and confortable. Spacious, light and nice. Bed was good, and clean. Balcony was great and extra bonus. Location was exellent. Breakfast had various choices every day. Good coffee and many Tea optios
. We will come back!
The hotel was not clean. Dust on all surfaces and the floor carpet was old and disgusting. There were small stains on the wall and little holes in the wallpaper. Though it was a big room and a big comfortable bed.
There were some noise from the big road outside the hotel and from a sound- and light show to support ukraine in the park. The show went on for 5 hours a day until 23 in the evening. This was annoying as hell.
The breakfast was god enough.
Over all stay at the Monica was excellent. Staff are very attentive and welcoming. The room my wife and I had was spacious and over looked the park. Traffic could be a little noisy at times but that's us being picky, you are in a city after all. Breakfast is of good quality with plenty to choose from. Hotel is only 16 minute walk to Riga old town and about 30 minutes to the train station. It always feels like in Riga you're only ever 20 minutes or so walk away from anywhere you need to be. Stayed 6 nights at the hotel and so glad we did. It just so happened the week we had booked included Latvia's day of independence (18th November) so lots of events on the run up to and on the day it's self. What an experience. Would we go back to Riga - in a heart beat. Would we go back the the Monica hotel - absolutely we would.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
Friendly staff. Clean rooms. Decent breakfast. Some of the inner courtyard rooms are a bit scruffy & dated. Streetside rooms have big, beautiful & drafty windows. In freezing winter probably cold. Would stay here again, but not in winter.
Breakfast was very good, plentiful with many options.

A lovely traditional style hotel in a lovely area of Riga, large spacious room and bathroom. About a 15 minute walk into the old town, through the park and along the river....great location!

Fantastic hotel in the beautiful art nouveau neighborhood of Riga… Highly recommend!
We've stayed here many times over the past 15 years and especially like the setting across from Kronvald's Park and near the Embassy and Art Noveau district.
Older, well-presented and well-maintained hotel located near many services, e.g., restaurants, convenience store, supermarket and public park. Stayed at the hotel many times. Breakfast includes various items and is plentiful. Will stay here again.
This is my third stay at this hotel and I love every minute of it! Comfortable bed and bedding, great breakfast, awesome staff, amazing location! What's not to love!
Gammalt välrenommerat hotel med väldigt fint läge i Riga. Stora rum, smakfullt möblerade. Rent och fint.
Tyst.
Fin frukost med varierad kost.
Hann aldrig prova spa/ bastu.
