What a special hotel this is. Nikos, Angela and Paris offer a personalised service that is unparalleled. Nikos goes out of his way to help plan your day and restaurant reservations, nothing seemed too much trouble. The breakfast was something else with four courses of delicious food which sets you up for the day ahead. If you want to stay in Rhodes old town, this has to be the #1 choice

The Kokkini Porta Rossa was one of our favorite places we have ever stayed at in all of our travels. From the moment we arrived to the hotel Nikos and Angela made sure everything you could possibly need or want was available to us. The hotel is gorgeous with a beautifu garden where each morning a delicious breakfast was served. Our room was spacious and beautifully decorated with special drinks and snacks available. There were also any type of toiletry you may have needed available for you. Each morning Nikos would help us plan our day with a map and GPS tablet we could take with us. Angela suggested the perfect shops in the old city to find what I was looking for. I chose this hotel because I wanted to celebrate a very special birthday there and in the old city of Rhodes where my grandparents were all born. Nikos and Angela made sure my birthday was perfect. Thank you for such wonderful memories.

A fantastic stay! We stayed with Nikos, Angela, and Paris for our honeymoon in October 2021 and we couldn’t have wished for a better experience. There are no words to fully express how much of a wonderful and special stay we had. They are a fantastic team and nothing is ever too much trouble. From start to finish our time at the hotel was flawless. We arrived on the first day with a private transfer from the airport, arranged by the hotel. This particular taxi company (unlike most others) can go directly into the old town, so no need to walk with your bags. The family - Nikos, Angela, and Paris were there to meet us on our arrival, greeting us with a drink and taking our bags up to our room. Check in was quick and easy, with no stress, and our room (Deniz) was large and well appointed. We were staggered by how much thought had gone into the room and it’s provisions. Everything you could ever need seemed to be there, from motion activated night lights to washing powder to a mini first aid kit. There is a free minibar containing local spirits as well as standard fare of wine, gin, and vodka. Fresh ice provided every evening as well as bottled water. All toiletries and towels are provided including beach towels and even a “beach” bag. There is a coded safe as well as a charging cable, multi-headed and capable of charging any device you need. There’s several AC units, one on the landing/bedroom, and one in the living room area. There is also a jacuzzi bath and shower, with

A gem in the heard of history

Located in the medieval city of Rhodes with its rich historical heritage, this unique establishment will satisfy the most demanding guests. The renovation of this 14th century knights mansion has been perfectly executed.. The result is 6 luxurious suites, each one different, with an incredible charm. We cannot list all the details that make our stay a memorable one: the exceptional welcome of the owners, Angela and Nikos, the availability of a touch-screen tablet with a tailor-made programme established according to your wishes and including suggestions of the best restaurants in Rhodes, the suite wonderfully decorated and equipped with every detail right down to the first-aid kit, the mini bar available at no extra charge, perfumes, alcohols, all for your free use. Not forgetting the gourmet breakfast. In short, a unique address, a rare coup de coeur and the feeling of having met a rare, cultured, attentive, friendly couple who made our stay unforgettable. I don’t know where to begin to explain how incredible our stay was at Kokkini Porta Rossi. PERFECT mix of 5-Star customer service & hospitality, comfortable & exquisite surroundings, & super high technology to help navigate your time there. Nikos, Angela, & Paris took care of us like we were part of their family. Our suite was roomy & elegant w/a lovely outdoor private terrace. Every inch of the house was beautifully & carefully decorated. Each morning we started our day w/a delicious & hearty breakfast. Angela prepared some of her favorite dishes. It was a delight to experience new taste sensations daily. Nikos was our Sherpa in helping us navigate not only the Medieval Town of Rhodes, but also the entire island. Each morning he would sit w/each guest & see what we wanted to do for the day. Once we decided on our agenda, Nikos would download our itinerary onto our personal iPad, which he supplied. Places, restaurants, bars, historical sites, and private tours were listed for us, along w/photos, information, & navigation (both driving and walking!) for each recommendation. They took care of reserving dinner for us each night. They helped us rent a car so we could explore the island on our own. Each day, upon our return, we were greeted w/a smile & a glass of wine which they have specially blended & bottled just for them. We didn’t want to leave! Anywhere else we’ll stay has some HUGE shoes to fill! You MUST stay here if you visit Rhodes!!

The best hospitality I have ever received! Love and care have gone into the property to make it something unique and special. The owners are exceptionally welcoming - from arrival drink and treats to cocktail hour. They helped us plan our daily activities and were attentive hosts. The suite was exceptionally well decorated and comfortable. Location in the old town was a treat. A++

This is a classic hotel in a UNESCO Heritage building. The breakfasts were incredible, and free drinks were laid out in the lobby in the evening. The decor was all carefully selected antiques and artwork. It is in the old town and very easy walking to all the main sites. The hotel provided a personalized tablet for navigating the old town and finding shops, restaurants, etc.

Perfection! That is the only word for this place. Nicholas and Angela provided a wonderful experience from beginning to the end. I have stayed all over the world and the service and facilities here are better than any 5 star hotel. Stay here with them and you will never regret it. My only sorrow is that I had to leave.

Angela and Nikos were wonderful hosts, the hotel is beautifully furnished with a stunning courtyard that is quiet and peaceful. The homemade traditional greek breakfasts were delicous and enything possible was done to ensure we enjoyed our stay! It is situated in the old town meaning it is within walking distance to everything including the new town which made it easy as well as being close to personally recommeneded restaurents by the hosts whihc was great! I couldn't recommed this hotel enough to anyone wanting to stay in Rhodes Old Town!
