The staff are super friendly and helpful. Though a bit out of town, it is close to the bus terminal for airbus. Taking a bue to city centre is also easy and convenient. Student canteen and bar provide good food at lower price. Good value for money.

Great place, it needs some improvements

The place was amazing and the staff was very friendly. I wish the rooms would come with body wash and shampoo, or at least offer the option to buy a small bottle of body wash and shampoo at a reasonable price. I had to buy a big bottle from the store that I ended up using it twice and then throwing an almost full bottle into the garbage because I can't fly back with it in my luggage.

The description of this property is not accurate. The description on expedia says there is free wifi in all the rooms. This is incorrect. Actually, there is no wifi in any of the rooms, only in the common areas. The receptionist said the hotel was not designed to have wifi in any of the rooms.

Beds were comfy, kitchen and hallways were very nice. Our room was assigned wrong originally but they were very helpful and upgraded us to a private bathroom. The shower flooded the bathroom with no mat and we only had 1 towel each, so we weren't able to dry the floor, but other than that we would definitely stay again.

Nice find.

Really nice student hostel within walking distance of central Reykjavik. Clean, warm, comfortable. One niggle - I could have benefitted from two pillows but this is a small thing and didn’t detract from the overall experience. I’d definitely stay here again. One piece of advice. It’s not obvious from the map where the hostel is. I walked right past it and saw other people do the same.

Room was a great location for touring the downtown cheaply. Included free parking just a short walk away. Would definitely recommend if in the area. Only issue we had was the shower drain didn't work well.

Stayed here on my last night. Lovely building on campus. Rooms are fairly modern, clean and comfortable. Beautiful common space off of the lobby that is colorfully decorated and has cozy chairs and a piano. 10 min walk to the BSI bus station which made getting to the airport easy in the AM.

Very nice stay

very accommodating, allowed us to leave our luggage in their storage room before check in. This is student dorms that are available for guests to use in the summer. Nice, clean, quiet and well located by the ponds and within easy walking of Harpa/Old harbor. Bus stop locate within 1 minute walk of front door of the hostel. For those who might have an interest in such things, there is a beautiful old cemetery out past the dorms. If available, I'd stay at the student hostel next time I'm in Reykjavik. Front desk folks were very helpful and friendly.
