"I made the right choice to stay here. One of the best experience I had in Kyoto, I wished I booked more than a night. The staff were very welcoming and courteous, they gave me a 5 star service. The room, actually it was more of a suite, was clean. I felt like I was in a different world when I was there because of the set up/ambiance. They also have a great location, just right beside the shrine. Just don’t bring heavy luggage because of the stairs, I felt bad that they carried my heavy luggage...

"Beautiful accommodation with all the extras. In a great location, walking distance to the market & lots of places to eat. We would definitely stay here again. The only drawback was the dryer took along time to dry, but the hotel provided a clothes horse which was handy. "

Was so nice returning here at the end of the day with all the tourists around you it’s just one simple door from the street and you’re transported to the oasis of Sowaka. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Even gave us really great tips for somewhere in Osaka on our next stop. Would stay again and just stay inside enjoying the peace and quiet of the hotel. "

"Stayed here with our 3 kids ages 11, 9 and 3. The room was beautifully decorated and spacious. Staff provided cute pajamas for the kids and we loved the bread breakfast you make in your room! Staff were friendly and helpful. The area is very close to sight seeing opportunities and beautiful parks and shrines. We loved our early morning walking tour to the shrines complimentary from the hotel - make sure to book in advance! Thank you for a great stay! "
