"Front desk staff were unfriendly. Breakfast just ok. Fridge broken and leaked water over kitchen floor. Toilet barely flushed, and then plugged. The sitting area in the room is lovely but the ensuite bathroom is not a 5-star bathroom. It's dated and the towel hanger on the wall is coming loose. The ensuite closet is also dated. "The entire hotel was under construction. We were not informed. To get to our room we had to walk down a flight of stairs, walk through an underground tunnel, go up an elevator and walk to our room. Because of the renovations, the breakfast bar was converted into two apples, two muffins and rice Kristy bars in our room. Also the pool was under repairs for the first night of our stay. "Everything here was 4/10 except the beds are horrible and they are not cyclist friendly. If you are out here traveling by bike this is not the place to stay. They refuse to let me bring our clean bikes to the room, even if it's a old motel with it's own outside door. They instead told us to put our bikes in a shed next to the road with a big glass sliding door for everyone to see what's in there. When I asked if they take responsibility if I woke up next morning and my $6k bike is gone and they...

"The place was great, very nice little cottage and nice staff. The only big issue was that the temperature settings in the rooms were locked to cooler temperature in the living space (requiring the use of blankets for eating and watching TV) and warm in the bedroom making it an uncomfortably warm temperature to sleep in. My partner tends to produce a lot of heat and even he found it too cold in the living space."
