I spent a wonderful 9 nights at Samed Villa Resort. The resort is right on a beautiful beach with beach loungers and beach towels provided. The staff are super friendly, respectful and professional. My room was very suitable for one person and was serviced daily. The provided breakfast had a lot of choices and was served with views of the gardenand beach. Totally love this place!

Location: 20 odd minutes walk to the town centre but song thaews are easily accessible. Room: Good size for a family of 4 but the bathroom needs some touch ups. The safety box in our room was broken too. Cleanliness: The room was clean, however the reception area smells unpleasant. Breakfast: Basic - not much varieties. Staff: Some are reasonably friendly but some are not. This resort offers all the basics for a reasonably okay stay but nothing is above average. The best feature of this resort is the direct access to the beach and small snorkelling areas. It is surrounded by restaurants and bars. The fire show is also not too far away.

Very friendly and helpful staff, especially with assistance to transport to and from the island. The facilities are very nice, and a nice beach close to the hotel with sunbeds. Good food and nice rooms. Would absolutely recommend staying here.

Loud music from neighbouring resort

If you are a light sleeper and would like to go to bed before midnight I would not recommend this place. We stayed for a week and every single night there was loud music from the neighbouring hotel, White Sand. On the other hand they stop playing at exactly midnight so you know at what exact time you can go to bed. Apparently that's just the way it is and the owners of Samed cannot do anything about it. Sometimes there was even music in the early morning from Samed Villa itself. Not very loud but again, if you're a light sleeper you might want to reconsider staying here. Had I known about the noise I would not have booked. Other than that everything was fine, friendly staff etc.

Very comfortable bed and spacious rooms. The resort faces directly onto a private beach. Each evening there were also fire shows on the beach. There is music that plays until late at night at some nearby bars, but they didn’t bother us too much. There are a lot of mosquitoes though, so make sure to bring insect repellent

Staff are wonderful and friendly and looked after us on our stay, food at hotel is great and fairly priced. Hotel has a nice beach for families or short walk to other beaches would recommend staying here for holiday

We really enjoyed our stay here. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the villa was spacious and very comfortable. There was a great range of dishes on the menu for lunch and dinner, along with the choice of two restaurants at the resort.

Quiet location at southern end of Ao Phai beach. The resort beach is small and rocky - there are better options on Ao Phai further up the beach. Service was good, restaurant has good choice.
