"We had an unforgettable stay at Kilkea Castle! From the moment we arrived, we were enchanted by the stunning grounds and historic charm of the property. We stayed in Carriage Room 230, which was beautiful and had great viewst thanks to windows on all sides. "The Carton house is about 45 minutes from the airport and 30 minutes from Dublin. The grounds are lovely. The walk to Town is about 30 minutes and well worth it as there are other historical sites to visit in the town. The interior of the Carton house is modern but historical features remain throughout. "I just love staying in the Silken Thomas, it has evertything and more than would be expected for the price range ! From checking in to checking out its top class. Special mention of Beata the Accommodation Manager, she makes everyone so well and keep such high standards, she is a wonderful asset to the Silken Thomas. I love staying there and often use it as a base, even for Dublin. I look forward to returning. The range of food is always great with very fast service."

"Great place to unwind after a week in rural Ireland. About 40 mins from the airport, we enjoyed the quiet & luxury. There is a walled garden & walk thru the woods just beyond that are worth checking out. "Two Bedroom House" that we stayed in feels like an upscale condo, nice bathroom, but be aware 2nd bath is a 1/2 bath on the 1st floor"
