Called reception and after some convincing they changed our room, which wasn’t much better. They said we’d have to wait for the manager to bring us some keys for the room. That never happend, no we had no keys and couldn’t lock or unlock our room. The rooms havnt been updated since it was built in the 60s Rooms are out dated and uncomfortable, and are sprayed with far too much air...

"Nice one bedroom apartment. Like the living room and free laundry facility; however, the dryer was not working well, it took more than an hour still couldn't dry a medium size load. It only has one washer and one dryer.The property is just across from the lake, but not too many restaurants around the area. "

"The location right on the lake is excellent and makes it very easy to get around Taupō on foot. You can walk into town, along the lakefront, and to restaurants without needing the car, which was a big plus. The hotel itself is quite faceless, but that’s probably expected as it mainly operates as a conference venue.
