"Great place"

"Positive: The place is great if you’re trying to be half way between Walvis Bay and swakopmund. Negative: not sure if it’s because it was low season (mid July) but the included breakfast was basically cereal, bread, yogurt, coffee. I’ve had better continental breakfast at some motels. Maybe they actually cook when there are many guests. I think there were less than 3 guests that day. Due to cargo ships in the ocean and lack of white sand, the beach is not very inviting."

"Das Personal war sehr nett. Frühstück war super und nett aufgebaut. Das Zimmer war gross. Leider fehlte die erste Nacht die TV remote und der TV ging dauernd alleine an - wurde aber schnell geklärt. Das Bad war leider eher weniger gut. Der Spiegel war dreckig und das Plastik drumherum lange nicht geputzt. Die Dusche hatte an der Decke viele Stockflecken. Die Metallteile der Dusche selber waren dreckig, kalkig und alt. Die Lodge heisst eigentlich Long Beach Hotel. Und es ist auch eher Hotel...

"Everything was wonderful until the end when the housekeeping staff were quite surly and unsmiling. Their unfriendliness saddened me as the front desk and restaurant staff were cheerful and very helpful. I think it’s important for you to know this as it affected my stay."

"the property has been recently renovated. The view towards the lagoon is wonderful and the surroundings are serene and quiet. Several good restaurants are within walking distance via a wooden boardwalk. The shopping are is about 20 minutes walk, so we took a taxi to get there."

"A beautiful property with lovely staff. We can definitely recommend one of the newer rooms with a direct ocean view; we even saw dolphins from our balcony! Also, be sure to book the Sandwich Harbour tour through them. Our guide was amazing, and we had so much fun. The location is great too, with restaurants and coffee spots nearby."

"Lovely staff - friendly and helpful. The room was standard and basic. WiFi was super slow and when other guests were in the hotel it was basically 3G speeds. The location is not great. There is not much in the area and transport is difficult if you don’t have your own rental car."
