"The location could not be more central to the major sights of Bologna. The property is extremely well maintained and appointed. The staff is very helpful and attentive. I would certainly recommend the property. For the drawbacks. Driving to and from the hotel is somewhat of a challenge, but the hotel makes it as easy as possible to navigate. The portico and street just outside the original main entrance needs to be cleaned and maintained."

"The room was great quiet, and location close to train station. The breakfast was amazing and offered a lot. Staff friendly. Only complaint is that the tub/ shower is poorly designed in that the shower glass protector is only half the tub and not the half that has the showerhead! By the time I’d finished my shower with trying to keep the showerhead pointed toward the front where the door was, I had a swimming pool on the floor of my bathroom and had to use all the towels to sop it up. "We stayed in Castillo for 5 days and we like it a lot. There was a good combination of medieval castle vibe and modern comfort. Although we’re mostly driving around exploring vineyards and small towns, we enjoyed the Castillo property, swimming pool and beautiful nature."

"Great location. Warm welcoming local staff who ensured we enjoyed every minute of our stay at this 15 century beautifully restored former home. Central to Siena. Though located in a ZTL they guided us to enable us to drop my off baggage and no park in convenient parking. Surrounded by historical sites and great shopping and food (including yummy gelato) this is the perfect location for exploring old Siena. And the service was excellent."

"The rooms were in perfect shape on arrival and we were pleasantly surprised by Satya prepping the A/C on a hot arrival day. The room was a great hub for our trip, being just a short walk to several of the local sites. Excellent experience."
