"There was nothing about this place that we liked. The parking lot was being used by a crew of workers. The night after we slept in the king sized bed we found there was debris way down under the covers. It was disgusting. Obviously no one changed the sheets. The desk help was apologetic, but never offered to come and see what we were talking about and never offered to reimburse us!"

Check in was lengthy. The desk attendant was off eating dinner. The valet parking attendant filling in (unable or trained to help) called him back to the front desk. He hurriedly checked us in and issued 2 key cards; neither worked upon reaching our room. So we returned to the front desk. He was once again...

"The Stannard Inn is an absolute jewel box on the Connecticut shoreline! It is a beautifully decorated coastal chic Captain’s home with thoughtfully appointed guests rooms and public areas.
