"The key to this hotel is the location in the heart of downtown Durham. It was a quick Uber ride for us to go anywhere, including the Duke game at Cameron Indoor Arena. Lots of good places to eat nearby. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The room was large and suited our needs. We enjoyed our stay and would happily return to The Durham Hotel."

"I stay at the AC Hotel often for medical follow ups at Duke. It’s clean, comfortable, easy walking or driving distance to the hospital with restaurants all around. The staff is courteous and helpful and there’s a full breakfast buffet and coffee downstairs in the morning. They also allow pets. I’ve tried a few other hotels in the area over the past few years and now just stay at the AC every time. "

"The building is definitely showing some wear and tear. The rooms, however, are quite spacious, the beds are comfortable, and there is plenty of hot water. The hotel's close proximity to Duke Hospital was a definite plus for us. Additionally, the hotel's close proximity to I-85 and other Durham freeways made it easy to quickly be at any of many restaurants, grocery stores and shopping malls."
