Cedar Lodge Motel

"This is a surprisingly nice stay for the price. They've recently painted the property, they've recently updated the rooms and bathrooms, as well as the parking lot. Staff is always helpful. It's very close to the "square" as well as anything else you'd like to do in Goderich. It's not walkable, but it is well situated."

"We really enjoyed our stay we had read and heard so much about the place over the years. We are going back for Thanksgiving. The Inn is surprisingly well-maintained considering its age and the area and main street is just beautiful and how you can just walk to Pioneer Park Lake Huron and the food was great."

"The was our first time staying at the Bedford Inn, and it was a great place to stay. It is located right downtown in the square which made it convenient to walk everywhere. The young lady at check-in was very friendly, and helpful by asking if this was our first time there, and then explained the in-out privileges during the later hours. The rooms and the entire hotel are obviously dated because it was built in 1892, however everything was clean and fresh, and the beds were very comfortable. The overall historical appearance, the winding staircase, and the squeaky floors added to the charm of this hotel. There are 3 floors and no elevators, and the breakfast was fine; just the basics. I will be staying here from now when visiting Goderich just because of its convenient location, and the price."

"Resort was good and clean, I had a good trip with the family. indoor swimming pool and suna were clean. overal a good stay, about 5 min walking to a beautiful beach. staff were friendly, I requested more towels around 10 pm and arrived in a few minutes. also, beautiful village . Suggestions: 1) general staff were friendly, the help desk (for check in and out) could use a smile though. 2) resturant and staff was good, I think better they better have more variaty of food for breakfast 3) room was fairly clean and maintained. the plastic toilet seat has a lot of mileage and needed to be replaced. 4) they need to put more signs outside, first time it took us a few minutes to find the direction to the beach. 5) in the last day, we found that suna has a timer outside, and there was no clear instruction. I asked a other guest and they did not have an idea which a timer should be set."

"This was a lovely experience and so relaxing... the pool and it's deck are great though the hottub is not what is expected... no powerful jets maybe due to the age? I am guessing... Goderich is near by and they have a great flee market on Sundays. The whole place is charming and so beautiful. We had 2 great dinners and everything was on point. Thank you chef. 😀 We will be back!"

"We had a lovely stay for one night at the Ashwood. Room was spacious and clean. AC unit and mini fridge worked very well. The bed was comfy, and it was dog friendly - so it ticked all the boxes for us. The owners were fantastic, super friendly - allowed us to sit on the patio area after the restaurant had closed, which was great for having some evening drinks and playing some cards. Very short drive into Bayfield, or about a 30mins walk. We would definitely stay again!"
