"Breakfast was good. My only complaint is not with the hotel but with Expedia. I booked a room with breakfast but did not check the receipt, only to arrive and be told that breakfast was not included. A google check exposed that this is due to a glitch that expedia is aware of."

"⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
We had an amazing stay at Quinta São José do Barrilário in the Douro Valley! The property is absolutely beautiful, surrounded by vineyards with breathtaking views of the valley. The peaceful atmosphere, lovely accommodations, and stunning scenery made our stay feel truly special. It was the perfect place to relax, unwind, and enjoy the beauty of Portugal’s wine country. A memorable experience and a place we would love to return to!"

"This inn is WONDERFUL. Christiano's attention to detail, ensuring the stay is perfect in every way, is unparalleled. Everyone who works there is incredibly nice, warm, and attentive. They really want their guests to have a perfect stay - and we did. Rooms are lovely and comfortable. We all (the guests that week) wanted to take the bedding and beds with us. Food - breakfast and dinner - is fantastic to eat and elegantly served. Common space is beautiful and cozy. Pool area is lovely, with...

"Antonio, Marlena and the whole staff was incredible. We were treated like family. An absolutely beautiful, cozy, romantic place -- very well maintained and super clean. Delicious on-premise fruits, vegetables and wine. And the meals prepared there were ASHMAZING. Could not recommend any more highly."
