"The staff was very kind and helpful"

"Local hotels had no vacancy so I gave this place a try and boy was I happily surprised! We stayed in the cottage which was quiet, cool, delightful, and spacious. The owner and manager were very kind and hospitable. The English Merchant's Inn is within walking distance to the central city where we enjoyed great breakfasts, long walks around the shops, and a shady return path along the hiking/biking trail to the Waxahachie historic cemetery. I highly recommend that you skip the cookie-cutter...

"I travel a lot for work and pleasure. I have stayed at many hotels/motels. This one had me shocked about a few things. I've never stayed at a hotel/motel that didn't provide travel sized toiletries. "Very clean room and bathroom! Breakfast was amazing! Would definitely stay here again in the future."

"Everything was good"

The bathroom had mold at the top of the walls and on the ceiling. We stayed one night on our way through on our way home from vacation. I woke up very stuffed up due to my mold and dust allergies. We did not feel like it was worth the $140 we paid. We arrived about 8pm and left at about 6am so did not experience their breakfast or other...

"I liked how close it was to the restaurants for a quick dinner and a free breakfest in the morning. As well as the space in the room however there could have bee some better investment into the property matinence to make it feel more welcoming.bur over just what I needed for a night."

"Nice quiet stay"
