"Just when I thought people in Xiamen don’t really celebrate Xmas, the decoration at this hotel is matchable to those in major Asian city malls or hotels. I love the Chinese details in the rooms, like the Chinese knot hooks. I love the rounded look of its furnishings. I especially love the toilet, how the layout is segregated and various accessibility. "

"Overall, the hotel stay was average. Most aspects were acceptable, though not particularly outstanding. One notable issue was the behaviour of some guests — for example, someone was smoking in the lobby, which was unpleasant and surprisingly, no one stopped him. There was also a noticeable odour in the room upon arrival. It wasn’t very pleasant at first. However, eventually got used to it after the first night. Worst Kempinski hotel I stayed. Poorly managed

"They do not enforce on smoking regulations as guests smokes at common areas and in lift as well. Hotel staffs do not even bothered to regulate. Does not reflect Kempinski standards in any manner. Great hotel but poorly managed. "
