Early May is the time of year to see fawn lilies on this excellent day hike. Perfect for families. Leashed dogs ok too. It has views from east to west of the san juan islands and if you are lucky, Mt. Baker too.

Pre-Mother's Day jaunt - all within 30 miles of our house. Nikon D3400. It was a beautiful day but a little hazy which made photography challenging. 70-300 mm zoom set at 82 mm. ISO 100, f/10.0, 1/640 sec. I tried to do some post-processing to make the Olympic Mountains pop but the sun and haze was beyond anything I could handle.
