Wonderful hotel and great location! Very affordable compared to others on the island. My family loved the quiet beach and the staff were very helpful. I would highly recommend to anyone going to Isla Isabela.

The staff is very kind and helpful! The room was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. The view is incredible; we highly recommend hotel Isamar; for sure, when we go back at Isla Isabela this is the place we will book.

The hotel staff was excellent and it was extremely clean. The property is older and needs updating. But you have to understand that Isabela is not a luxury island. It is spartan and basic. Almost all of the streets are dirt roads. The hotel fits right in with that vibe of the island. It is perfectly located within walking distance of everything in town and sits on a wonderful beach.

We had a wonderful time! Breakfast was absolutely delicious, and we also enjoyed an amazing dinner during our stay. The cocktails were delicious and perfectly made. The staff provided excellent recommendations for things to do on Isabela Island, which really enhanced our experience. We truly appreciated the warm hospitality. We booked for 3 nights but didn’t check in until our second day. We got there at 10AM the check in lady (photo attached) said we couldn’t check in until 12PM (even though the room was paid for from the day before). I reminded her the room was booked for us from the day before and she said that the reason we couldn’t access the room was because there was an issue and that a handy man was working on the room, I think she mentioned the a/c unit was not functioning properly and that the room wouldn’t have been available for us the day before anyway and that they were going to upgrade us to a 5* hotel with an oceanfront view (not sure why she felt the need to mention the upgrade). Anyway, I reminded her that we needed to have access to our room as soon as possible and she said she’d check if the room was ready. When she returned the room was ready. It was all great, we went out for lunch, and came back to shower but to our surprise there was no running hot water. When my cousin brought it to their attention a man that worked there said, it’s hot enough outside to shower in cold water, but my aunt was very upset he said that and that there was no hot water so she demanded they fix the problem. The lady that checked us in accommodated us and moved us to Hotel Albemarle (which we did not enjoy unfortunately), she was also very rude when I asked her not to touch my belongings, she shoved my dirty pair of shoes at me while I was carrying things in my arms and dirtied me and my stuff.

The hotel is close to a ferry (5 min walk ), the beach is really nice and the staff is friendly. Gabrilella was super helpful . The only problem is the condition of the hotel : it’s very outdated and you can see bugs and little lizards , even in the best room Acadia. There is not dinner there but they have drinks and breakfast .

We stayed here for 3 nights and it was a very comfortable stay. The reception staff were really welcoming and spent time explaining all about Isablea island and the hotel. The room had 2 beds (family of 2adults / 1 child) and the shower had plenty of hot water. Wifi is a bit hit and miss on Isabela. The room also had a TV. Breakfast was lovely with fruit, personalised hot breakfast and toast / croissants. Great location right on the beach and only a 3 minute walk to the main shops / restaurants

All the staff were amazing. Our host Eva is to be commended for, her attention to details and making sure we had everything we needed. Only downside were a few ants in the bathroom area. I'm sure this is probably unavoidable given that nature does it thing in the Galapogas!

Mixed feelings. Beautiful beach, nice rooms, good breakfast. Very clean. A lady who spoke english was very nice and helpful. One thing that spoiled the experience: laundry service returned clothes soaking wet and missing two tshirts. There were hours without light and water, but that was because of the reasons not depending on the hotel.

Isamar was the perfect place for our family to relax and visit our son who is studying abroad on Isabela Island. If I were going back, I would definitely stay there again. The location right on the beach was perfect! There was a very calm area in the ocean protected by volcanic rock where my daughter loved to play. Other locals brought their children to play there also - safe from the waves. The breakfast was good with plenty of choices. We ate supper there on our last evening and it was our favorite meal on the Island. They opened a small bar every evening, which was so nice and convenient. Rooms were clean, beds were comfortable, AC was cool, showers were hot, and the staff was friendly and accommodating. Don’t hesitate to book at Isamar. You won’t be disappointed.

Good place to stay

Is a small hotel and the price is a little high but is because Isabela Island is the most expensive Island in Galapagos but in my opinion is the best Island and worth it. The beach in front of the hotel was amazing specially in the mornings when the water goes down. Also the best thing about the hotel is the kindness of the people specially Jimmy the owner, he help us with all the info before our trip and also he arranged our transportation from Baltra to Isabela, also he book our paid tours in the island (the best is the tunnels tour). The internet conection sucks but is not something about the hotel, in general the internet connection in galápagos.

Revisar precio/calidad

El hotel está dividido entre las habitaciones y el área administrativa, el comedor no está junto a las habitaciones sino en otro lado, es cercano y el desayuno es bueno. Creo que el costo es demasiado alto para lo que se recibe, la habitación es pequeña, no tiene los metros cuadrados declarados. La oferta de camas debe corresponder según la cantidad de personas, me parece que las camas (una Queen y una personal) es muy poco para 3 adultos y un niño de 5 años. El equipo de servicio siempre trata de ayudarte en lo que puede. Si pagas con tarjeta de crédito te cobran un 5% adicional.
