When I arrived at the hotel, it was locked. Luckily, I borrowed wifi from a shop nearby and contacted the staff. She came, but she could not speak English.
I told her I had paid the hotel fee. She did not respond. On the next day, another man came to hotel to serve me breakfast. I told him I had paid the hotel fee and would like to leave my luggage there. He accepted although he did not know English.
When I went to collect the luggage, he said I did not pay the hotel fee. I told him I paid by hotels.com, he said they would not accept online payment. I showed him my payment, he said his hotel would not accept HK dollars as payment. As the hotel's wifi was terribly slow, I could not contact hotels.com as that time. He kept clapping on the table and shouting at me. He refused to listen to any of my explanation. I could not get my luggage if I did not pay at that time. He took my card from my hand and got my payment. He did not pass me any receipt and told me that his machine had no printing ink. The whole experience was terrible. Hotels.com told me that they would contact the hotel to get my extra payment back. As the hotel did not respond, hotels.com could not take any action. And I had to pay twice for one night stay.
