"The property itself was clean and the staff who greeted us was pleasant, but we needed him to let us into the room because the app we had to download didn't work. I wouldn't return for that reason alone. I don't want to have to download an app to get into my hotel room. The walls are paper thin. We could hear the people next door talking in regular voices all night. The worst part was the heat. It was cranked and there is no thermostat in the room. I woke up sweating, the temperature in the room was easily in the 80s. We went in February and had to keep the windows open just to be able to sleep. I called the after hours number we were given. It was a New York City number, so not a good start. But it ended up belonging to an employee who hasn't worked at the Elliry in three years. I texted the number we had, after hours or not. We were told to use the thermostat on the wall. Why didn't we think of that? Oh, because there wasn't a thermostat on the wall. They next told us to try the thermostat in the hallway, that might get it down. Just a completely inadequate response. So despite everything that was nice, Our room felt unlivable for most of the night, until the 20 degree air from outside made the room bearable. It was never comfortable, only bearable. If they offered me a free night's stay, I would rather spend money and go anywhere else."
