Loved our experience here it was perfect to explore providence and would 100% stay here again! The room was cozy and the deck looking out on the pedestrian bridge was very cool! So cheap for the location offered!

In town for RISD commencement and The Hill was a wonderful place to stay! Clean, peaceful, excellent location, and the kitchen was such a nice amenity. Looking forward to future visits at this location.

The property is well located and quiet, and the staff were accommodating. However, I found a sock in my bed, which made me question the cleanliness of the facility. The pillows also smelled as though they had been freshened with dryer sheets rather than washed. Large gaps around my room door reduced privacy, and the coffee maker in the common area had Keurig pods but only one dirty cup. A little more attention to cleanliness and maintenance would go a long way. With greater care in these areas, the property could have scored much higher.

The Hill is a hostel and from that perspective is a 5-star hostel. The property is clean and well maintained. It beautifully located within walking distance of food, night life, shopping and exploring. The bed was comfortable and roomy. Towels were provided and the shower and bathroom were clean. I would stay there again without hesitation. My host was Stephano and was very accommodating and helpful. This was my first time staying at a hostel in over 40 years and I was very impressed!

This hotel was seriously so beautiful and peaceful. Everything about the stay was relaxing, and I loved how close it was to so many good food spots you could just walk to. The whole vibe here was comfortable and quiet, and it honestly made the trip even better. The only small issue was the bathroom door knob, but overall everything else was perfect :) I’ll most definitely be staying here again.

Excellent, however the room I was in had a door that must have been the bathroom for the other room and everytime it was used I knew about it...other than that, excellent stay and very clean.

Our stay was amazing! The room and property were clean. I would definitely stay here again. Some things to note, it’s in a busy area and there was some loud noise from motorcycles and cars revving their engines at night. This is not the properties fault but if you’re a light sleeper it could be an issue, we stayed on a Thursday night. Also there is Kuerigs on site but no coffee was available. So bring some if you want coffee in the morning. There is a coffee shop that was delicious just down the street.

This was the perfect location! There’s a coffee shop less than half a mile away, and you have easy access to downtown. Before arriving, I recommend requesting all the room information ahead of time. I wasn’t aware of the security deposit you need to pay before receiving the room details. The property manager was incredibly easy to reach and responded quickly to any questions. The room was clean, the view was beautiful, and the property was very quiet. The housekeeping staff was also incredibly kind and welcoming, which made the stay even more enjoyable. Overall, I had a great experience and would definitely stay here again.

I got there and there was no staff or check in booth. I called to get access to my room which was via keypad they said I needed to provide a $120 security deposit down payment that I will not get back

Clean room and comfortable bed (looked exactly like photo) in an interesting historic building. Our room was large, well-lit, and had working AC. The one shared bathroom was beautiful and very clean, but we sometimes had to wait. Great location - along river near footbridge across river, with food trucks and Tizzy K's. Wonderful Dave's coffee just down the road. Available parking either along road or in lot behind The Hill. NOTE that the kitchen is NOT available, which should have been noted before booking (kitchen photos and details on using the kitchen were on the booking site). A Keurig was available in the hall outside of rooms, but no K-cups or paper cups/mugs were provided (BYO). Bring your own washcloths. Only 2 bath towels were included in our room, and no place to hang them. Only one outlet was usable. I was glad I brought an extension cord powerstrip with USB plugins. It was VERY loud Thursday through Sat nights until 2 am (we had the King sleighbed room with red carpet). Drag racing, shockingly loud mufflers, and extremely loud music from cars and motorcycles. Not the fault of the property, but earplugs would be a welcomed addition. You may want to avoid if you're a light sleeper.
