"The property and room were well maintained. A lot of the furnishings were a bit outdated including the television and microwave. It felt like there was not enough staff at the front desk to handle the amount of guests coming in to check out/check in. Parking is also not included in your stay- it’s $36/night. They give you vouchers that let you come in and out but they charge parking on your bill at the end of your stay."

"Overall, hotel was fine and a short walk to the riverwalk and Alamo. The one thing that couple have been better was the tub in our room. It was very old, stained, and not something you would expect to see."

"The staff (were the most inviting, courteous, and professional, that I have ever experienced at a hotel. Valet greeted us and opened the door even though we didn't use the service, personnel working the check in desk were eager to check us in and provide direction, house keepers were pleasant. We stayed in the Ambassador Room with private balcony on the 6th floor. Room was cleaned and tidy when we walked in. Coffee maker was tucked in the furniture with a slide out which kept the focus on the room and not having the eyesore of appliances on the surfaces. For a building that has been standing for 170 years, it is surprisingly maintained and kept up with. If I visit SATX in the future, or if someone asks for a recommendation, I will advise to stay at the Mansion Del Rio."

"This hotel was extremely clean. Everything was easily accessible and walking distance from the hotel. The bar was well ran and all hotel staff was very kind and helpful. We would definitely stay here again."

"If you plan on staying here make sure your room is NOT on the second floor near the exit towards the parking garage DOOR. My room was 4 door down and all I kept hearing was the door SLAMMING opening and closing all day & night. I couldn’t sleep the whole weekend . They need to fix that door. Where it does not slam. Bad stop to rent a room where the incoming traffic is coming in and out. Another thing if you want your room to be clean you have to request it even though your staying the whole weekend you would think they would have the courtesy of cleaning your room instead of requesting who would not want fresh towels and a clean bed for the next day. Other than that the front desk guy was the only nice helpful person there."

"Front desk staff was wonderful!. The valet a little sketchy as we got in later. There was construction taking place so that made it difficult. Upon arriving the valet was supposed to send a text for us to complete the set up but we never received it. Room was beautiful. There were like little gnats? But it was fine. The water was also turning hot and cold on our second night. Overall the place was wonderful and great. Staying at a historic hotel was a dream and the architecture was superb. Would love to come back. "
