"The hotel was very close to the airport but very quiet. Walking distance for two septuagenarians. The welcome was friendly and helpful concerning onwards logistics. The room was adequate in size and well appointed. The quirky decor of metal, cutouts and lighting taking advantage of them was a relaxing distraction at the end of a long day’s travel. "We spent 4 nights in Porto at 1827 River House and during our stay we met most of the team who make this boutique B&B so special. We were very well looked after and nothing was too much trouble, from arranging the transfer from the airport, lending us a USB adaptor and providing helpful hints on where to eat and what to see. We had a river view room on the 4th floor and the room was quiet, comfortable and well-equipped. Location-wise it couldn't be better as you are literally a stone's throw...

"We arrived at the property and noted to be warm and somewhat humid inside the unit. We noticed that the unit is not blowing cold air. The fan was working well though. We contacted the responsible party. He guided me to some setting changes but, it didn't change anything. The outside street air was much cooler than inside. We left the windows open. But the street traffic noise was too loud and flies and bugs kept flying inside. We could not sleep much. They should not rent the unit if this...
