"What a gorgeous property and very pleasant stay! Thank you to the entire team for the immaculate, unique setting. We felt welcomed the moment we arrived, enjoyed the sunrise from the huge windows overlooking the water, and the delicious continental breakfast. The location overlooks a lovely beach and walking path and we enjoyed the serenity and delicious dining in South Portland as well as the convenience to Old Port. "Immaculately clean, stunning interior, and perfect location were the first things I noticed about Docent’s Choice. Being half a Luddite the app for phone and figuring out how to turn the lights off and on involved me needing assistance. Not only did the staff help me, they didn’t even laugh at me or call me a “Boomer”. Great customer service! Honestly, I can’t say enough good things about Docent’s Choice. Everything was perfect! "

"Clean, beautiful room with a vintage feel. Great staff, very attentive. If you have a show to go to they offer a car service to take you there. It’s a 5 minute walk to the theater though so that was nice. Tandem bakery is right next door. You have to get coffee and pastries. Make sure to get a loaded biscuit. "

"We had an absolutely wonderful stay here. It is our second time. The location is fantastic, making it easy to get anywhere we needed. One block from the waterfront. Very walkable.
