"Lovely stay in a very convenient location. I arrived by plane and took a direct train to Gare du Nord, followed by a short 12 minute walk to the hotel. For my return, it was just a 12 minute walk back to Gare du Nord for the Eurostar, which made the whole journey seamless. The hotel is a beautifully designed boutique space, clean, modern, and with a fresh feel throughout. "The hotel is in a great location. We stayed 9 nights, the staff were so kind and helpful. We needed to get a taxi to the airport, they were able to get us the transportation so much more quicker and easier than booking one ourselves. The hotel had air conditioning which was a wonderful on the hottest days this summer in Paris. We loved that there were so many cafe’s and bakeries nearby. It is walking distance to all the sites to visit, the closest being the louvre and Notre Dame, about a 10-15 minute walk. The train station is a close distance, if you need to visit other areas. We walked to many sites. They took a little longer to walk to but it allowed you to see the city of Paris. Would absolutely stay at this hotel again."

"I booked this hotel for one night while visiting friends in Paris, partly for nostalgia, as I used to live near Le Marais. I ended up really enjoying my stay and wish I had stayed longer. The hotel is much larger than it appears from the outside, with a beautiful interior courtyard that feels like a little oasis in the middle of Paris. It was lovely to sit there, have a cocktail, and enjoy the atmosphere. The location is excellent, especially if you want to be close to Le Marais and easily explore the city. The check-in staff were very helpful, friendly, and professional, and spoke excellent English as well as French. My room was a little dated in style, but it was comfortable, spacious for a Paris hotel, well air-conditioned, easy to access, and had great water pressure. The on-site restaurant is nice, though the bar service seemed a bit overwhelmed at times during normal service. If you want a quick drink, the brasserie next door may be easier. That said, this was not a deal-breaker at all. Unfortunately, the hotel experienced a power outage when I returned from exploring the city, just as I was checking out. However, I want to specifically commend the staff and management. They handled a stressful situation with kindness and professionalism, brought out water during the heat wave, helped guests check in and out, and did their best to manage the disruption calmly. Overall, this is a wonderful property with great service, a fantastic location, and a memorable atmosphere"

"I can’t say enough good things about our stay here. It’s across the street from a metro station, so it’s easy to get anywhere you want to go. It’s also across the street from a Monoprix, so groceries, power adapters, clean clothes, and souvenirs are a few steps away. We could even see the top of the Eiffel Tower from our balcony! The air conditioning is excellent. This was our haven in a hectic, heatwave-stricken Paris trip. We loved everything about it. And the staff was very kind and helpful. I would stay here again, a million times over."

"Pros: This charming historic hotel is in a great location in Marais. There are lots of little bars and restaurants. There is a lovely little bakery and a few small grocery stores that sell fruit, cheese, and wine within a short walking distance. There is a Metro stop right outside the front door. The staff was friendly and helpful. We were able to store our bags here before check-in and after we checked out. Our room was extremely clean and well-maintained. The mattress was new, and the bed linens were nice quality. This was one of the cleanest hotels we have stayed at in Europe. Cons: We stayed on the top floor (6th floor on the top of the tower with the metal roof) during the late June heatwave, and it was SO HOT in our room. The ceiling-mounted air conditioner struggled to function. The hotel staff were very apologetic and provided two fans. In any other season, this room would be incredibly charming and romantic, but during a heatwave it is like sleeping in an oven. It sounds like most Parisian hotels in historic Haussmann-style buildings have similar issues. The room also does not have a traditional shower, but a small tub with a sprayer. My 6'6" husband found bathing here to be comically challenging."

"The hotel was nice overall but the bathroom was pretty awful. The exposed shower getting water everywhere and flooding was not cute. The air was also not working our first day there. The staff helped us, they fixed what they could and gave a discount for the inconvenience but the Hoxton brand needs to re-work these bathrooms and change the linen on the beds."
