"We had an awesome stay at Shantara Port Douglas! The quiet, adults-only ambience made it the perfect place to relax, recharge, and unwind. The pools were fantastic—beautifully maintained and ideal for spending lazy afternoons. The location is spot on, with everything within easy walking distance, making it easy to explore Port Douglas without needing the car. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help, which made our stay even more enjoyable. If you're looking for a peaceful getaway with great facilities and excellent service, Shantara Port Douglas is a fantastic choice. We can't wait to come back!"

"Great hotel with beautiful gardens and surrounds, swim up bar was cool and plenty of fun for the kids. Only slight issue we had was there was no monitoring of towels reserving pool chairs. Sometimes these pool chairs were reserved for a hour and sometimes up to half a day which ruins the experience for travelers that don’t behave this way…"

"This is a really nice stay. Right on the street with all of the shops and walkable to both the beach and the marina. But, some things that may be helpful for other guests to know: reception hours are VERY limited, though reception staff are very helpful. This will impact you if you need help booking a shuttle or locking up luggage or getting change or soap for laundry. They are SUPER helpful when available, but hours are extrememly limited. No hot tub on site, the jacquizi in the unit is a bath tub. (it's a bit odd - you have to walk through the bathroom to get to the porch. The jacquizi is not on the porch, just overlooks the porch.) Also, there is not daily service, so if you need soap or anything refilled before the service, too bad so sad. The pool is much smaller than it looks in the photos. Hotpot and pop-up toaster, but no microwave. But location can't be beat."
