One night stand

Stayed here for night. Whole room was very recently fully refurbished. Some small things like bathroom sliding door unhinged and still have installation stickers on mirror and sink. Pillows were a bit soft. But otherwise all brand new and ver clean. Not much vibe but good for a short stay. Self check in was smooth.

The location was right on Main Street. Very clean and modern inside. Kitchen was well appointed and had everything we needed. Secure car park. Very new and nice.

Great apartment but difficulties

Loved the apartment itself - spacious, new furniture, modern, tasteful and clean. However, parking was a distance from the front door and once inside, you are faced with a lot of stairs. This is a problem.

Lovely room, great shower. All we needed was in room. Gates were a problem…when we arrived about 3 pm the sun was on the front door keypad made it very difficult to type code in. Carpark gate took ages to light up and accept code, to leave you had to stretch your arm through gate to type in a code took a while. Probably more suitable for younger generation.

A new development inside the 1836 built Pt Augusta Town Hall. Congratulations to developers for saving an old building by re- purposeing it. Access to apartments is a problem as there is currently no lift. We climbed 4 flights of stairs with multiple trips to bring luggage to the 2 bedroom apartment. Apartment decor is modern and beds are comfy. The ensuite bathroom lacks an adequate vanity (tiny), hooks/rails for facecloths, hand/bath towel and no hooks on the door for clothing. The apartment Fire Escape door is locked and is designed to open in the event of fire, however there is no notice to that effect on the Fire Exit door. The Hotel is that in name only. There are no facilities for food, laundry or other services that name normally implies. However there is direct access into the main shopping precinct with many choices for dining and shopping. Parking is in a secure location adjacent to the premises but until the lift is installed it is a long walk to access the main entrance.

Well what a wonderful experience I had staying at the hotel.. Thank You Mr Costello for a memorable stay.Definitely a 5 star experience .. Cannot wait to see the development finished off in due course..Would not hesitate to recommend this establishment to anyone heading to Port Augusta..

Apartment was not cleaned with hair on bed, bathroom floor and shower. Dental floss hanging over the bathroom tap. Stained linen and dirty cutlery and mechanical grinding noises coming from the bedroom aircon which was off..disrupted sleep and a horrible area next to a dodgy park. So glad this was only and overnight stop!

It is very hard to access property with all the codes, not very easy for elderly people. Had alot of trouble to gain access from carpark into hotel gate limited signage & difficulties with PIN codes No one is on site to assist central number is managed in Adelaide. No lift access have to cart all luggage up several flight of stairs. car parking access very narrow

We couldn’t recommend this properly. It was ridiculously hard to get into. There is no onsite manager/reception. You are emailed a series of codes to get through 4 security gates before you get to your room. The gate to get out of the carpark was very temperamental. We were locked in the carpark as it wouldn’t work despite putting the correct code in. We called the helpline to get a recording that the office was closed but an emergency number that we could call. The maintenance guy on the emergency number was pleasant and said he would check it. Luckily while we were talking to him it opened! This gate continued to be a problem throughout our stay. The carpark was also a ridiculously long way from the room.
