"Good location (very close to the train station and downtown) and relatively quiet for being located on a major road at a major intersection. The building is nice, solidly constructed with spacious rooms and high ceilings. The room needs some updating in terms of decor and there are little touches that show a lack of very careful attention to maintenance (curtains that aren’t attached completely at the top of the window, dead mosquitoes on the sheer curtains). A little more careful attention to these details would go a long way to improving the first impression. That said, the room was spacious (a corner room -05) and the bed was very comfortable. The staff were welcoming and pleasant. All in all, I recommend this hotel and would stay again on another visit to the Saumur area."

We really enjoyed our time here, the bed was one of his not the most comfortable that we have slept on in the two months that we've been on the road. The staff was welcoming and friendly. It was very clean but basic/ yes the furnishings are a little dated but the views and countryside and of course price more than made up for it- we visited the chateau de montjoffroy nearby it was great and we also loved the continental breakfast which included vegan options."
