arm and welcoming stay!

A really wonderful experience! We stayed at the retreat for two nights in one of the gorgeous cottages. On arrival we were warmly greeted and given great information regarding the surrounding area. We were then taken personally to our cottage and given a succinct run through of the necessities i.e. how to use the fireplace, where to find breakfast supplies and key area information.A lovely bottle of local wine was provided free of charge! The grounds around the cottages was beautifully kept. I would highly recommend staying in this beautiful boutique accommodation.

Very friendly and helpful owners ... and just a beautiful location and wonderful setup of the cottages. Everything needed was there, and easy to find. Very comfortable and relaxing location - perfect for a weekend away at the Hunter Valley!

Perfect for Hunter Valley break

Great central location. Short drive to lots of vineyards and can walk to a couple of bars/restaurants. Cottages are nicely decorated, well equipped, and very private with beautiful outlook, and kangaroos cone and graze every evening. And good value. We would certainly stay here again.

What a gorgeous place to stay. The owners were very lovely and accommodating. The outlook is amazing with 180 degree unfettered views of mountains and vineyards. The ammenities were very clean. The cabin is set privately away from other guests so you feel like you’re the only ones there. Would highly recommend and we will be coming back next time we are in the Hunter Valley.

Very nice property! Rolling hills, privacy, wood fire, close to everything. And a lovely kelpie named Ginger. Had a great three night stay here.

Perfect weekend retreat

Ken and Susie were the perfect hosts. They greeted us on arrival and allowed us to check in early and gave us plenty of local tips for the weekend. We were in cabin five, which is the bottom cabin and in our eyes, the best cabin! It was very clean, peaceful, stocked fridge with everything you need for breakfast and a delicious bottle of wine to unwind with. There are a number of places for drinks and food within walking distance and the iHop bus stops five minutes down the road, opening up the central Pokolbin area. It’s a great location for exploring the Hunter Valley but also allows you to escape from it all and have your privacy and relax. We are already planning a return trip!

The location of this property on a non-through road means that it is very quiet and has great views as its located on top of a ridge . The real bonus however is the abundance of wallabies in the morning and particularly in the evenings which roam the grounds freely

We stayed with another couple. The accommodation is roomy and plenty of room for 2 couples. It was too hot to enjoy the outside of the property but the a/c inside was very nice. Ken was kind enough to call ahead and find out how far away we were so he could put the a/c on for us which was greatly appreciated. Ken and Susie are friendly and helpful.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Berenbell. The cottage is very well maintained and has spectacular views. The hosts were extremely accommodating of our anticipated late arrival. The breakfast muffins are worth the stay alone (delicious!). Will definitely be back!

Peaceful romantic ambience, breathtaking outlook

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our weekend stay at the gorgeous Berenbell Vineyard Retreat. From the moment we drove up the driveway we we were taken away by the beauty of the property and the friendliness of the staff. We were very well looked after and felt the accommodation was very comfortable and clean. We really enjoyed cooking breakfast and eating out on our private patio in the mornings looking out over the vineyards on the opposite hill and even saw a few kangaroos hopping by. It was lovely to have the privacy of a free standing cottage all to ourselves. We will definitely be staying here again in future!
