"I would not recommend anyone because the room Hibiscus No 15 and 11 were terrible poorly maintained there were lizards everywhere and mosquitoes. We asked for a mosquito diffuser and the receptionist told us they would send one which was in vain as nobody came along. The bedsheet was torn very old and most of all we all didn’t sleep as the bed was not comfortable one could feel the wire spring on our back. "The Meridian is a beautiful idyllic resort on the west side of the island. Food was excellent, service was exceptional, and facilities the very best. Lovely and helpful staff and hotel personnel. The hotel hooked us up with a driver, Ravi, who was our tour guide for three days. Whale and dolphin watching, historic sugar mill museum, giant turtles, colored sand, Black River Gorge, water falls, volcano crater, bird sanctuary, ziplines, botanical garden, downtown Port Louis and more! We saw everything and had a marvelous one-week getaway."
