AC Hotel by Marriott Ambassadeur Antibes - Juan Les Pins
8/10 Good
"Don't bother paying extra for partial view of the ocean. It's barely anything. Garage is too small but easy enough to find parking on the street nearly. Phone to TV casting does not work in any of the rooms. Overall good hotel. No issues as such."
"I stayed with my 2 daughters in the apartments. We had a wonderful stay. All the staff were extremely helpful and our room was cleaned daily and was spotless. The breakfast was very good and the Spa a real treat . Definitely would recommend this hotel for a stay in Antibes."
"Good stay with one important note! The good: the staff was amazing and very kind, the breakfast was filling with gluten free options and good tea, and the bed was huge and super comfortable. Plus, the bathroom has premium toiletries from L’Occitane.
The bad: The hotel uses SO much air freshener (automatically-dispensed fragrance) that it’s permanently in all spaces and even in the rooms. If you’re sensitive to smells or fragrances, this is your sign (unfortunately). The fragrance is dispensed automatically in the lobby. We had cover the entrance to the room with a bath mat to try and keep the smell out. The sheets are also cleaned with a fragrance-rich detergent, not the usual fragrance-free (not the usual big chain hotel standard).
Lastly, just a little note on amenities. There is no mini fridge, kettle or a coffee machine in the rooms. You can get filtered water from the reception which is great but the lack of other room amenities (that are usually present for this tier of the hotel) made us feel a bit uncomfortable during the stay."
"Staff was rude, aggressive and or incompetent. Advertised roof bar is inexistent, room layout was ridiculous.
Location is ok if you like walking, but the distances are quite a bit longer than the info given.
Basically run by beginners and quite likely to ruin your day"
"This enchanting boutique hotel was absolutely charming! A true gem! The lush and romantic gardens around the pool offer various sitting and relaxing areas that are well kept. The lobby and the bar area are beautiful and full of "provencal flair". Staff is super friendly, all of them! The breakfast buffet is amazing. We were upgraded to a lovely (and large!) Deluxe room/suite, and everything was graced with that little extra touch, from the fluffy bath robes to extra large shower towels to luxurious toiletries from L'Occitane, and the daily fresh water in the mini fridge. Streetside parking in the vicinity of the hotel was not a problem as long as you arrived later in the afternoon/evening. This whole place felt magical, peaceful and romantic. We only stayed 3 nights, but are considering coming back for a longer stay. "
"Pros
Friendly staff: the two ladies working in the morning shifts were welcoming, attentive, and helped improve the atmosphere. And after raising concerns, one of them offered complimentary breakfast on the second night.
Quiet environment: the room provided a peaceful night’s rest once settled.
Basic amenities available: the room was equipped with essentials (bed, towels, bathroom facilities).
Cons
No staff present at reception upon arrival, leaving guests unsupported.
Poor communication before arrival: no prior notice that check‑in was only via machine and card, despite request to pay in cash.
Unpleasant arrival experience: forced to wait outside in the rain after an exhausting trip.
Payment difficulties: inability to pay in cash caused unnecessary stress and delay.
Some Cleanliness issues in the room: some hair found on sheets and pillow, towels not perfectly clean.
Overall Impression
The stay began with significant frustration due to lack of staff presence, poor communication, and cleanliness concerns. However, the hotel did make an effort to address the complaint by offering breakfast, and the morning staff’s friendliness helped restore some comfort. Improvements in reception service, guest communication, and housekeeping standards remain necessary, but the positive gestures show that the hotel is willing to listen and respond."
