"We stayed at Mariposa when we arrived to Placencia and the last night before we returned home and it was perfect. Gladis was very welcoming at the reception, Donny was amazing at the restaurant and all the staff were friendly and very helpful. The bungalow was perfect for our family of 4, since they have bunk beds. The restaurant was good with a nice view of the ocean. They have nice swings, volleyball court, paddle boards and bicycles which is perfect to go in town. It’s less than 5 minutes...

"We loved our stay in the Turtle room! We had a last minute change in our itinerary and needed a place for only one night... But we wished we had more time at this spot! The owners are very kind and responsive. The room was very comfy and cozy. I appreciated all the shelving in the rooms and bathroom. AC worked great. And the screened in porch was really wonderful to hang out on. It's also in a great location for wandering around the village. "

"STAY HERE! The best experience I’ve had at any resort ever. The staff is lovely, the food is fantastic, and the island itself is right out of your wildest dream. At night, there are noises akin to what you’d hear on a ship, or deep in the woods—which may be relaxing to some and annoying go others. Also, the hot water can be an otter finicky. But trust me, you will not care! This is truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience that I wouldn’t miss for anything! No other vacation has compared. "

"The apartment is excellently located in Placencia. The owners who live above do a great job communicating. They have bikes available that got us down the town to the local beach. Lots of restaurants around and a store across the street. An extra bonus was use of the laundry downstairs. It was a big help since we were heading back into the jungle and needed to refresh our pants and long sleeves. The apartment is beautiful and comfortable. We especially appreciated the two terraces to eat...
