"Our first time staying at The Anchorage and it was everything we'd imagined - the perfect choice for our anniversary weekend! From the moment we stepped into reception to check in, the hospitality staff went above and beyond! We loved the celebratory champers to welcome us for our stay. "Stayed here for a long weekend get away and catching a show. Sails is good hotel in a great location, close to bars, restaurants and the local club. Ate at the restaurant one night and we were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the meals. They do stiff you with car parking fees, which I think is a little rich. However we got a good deal on room rates, so not too bothered. Overall a great place for a getaway in Port Macquarie. "

"What an unexpected gem of a hotel. The rooms could have been slightly nicer (maybe some art on the walls or something to brighten the space)? That’s my only complaint. Otherwise, the WiFi worked great, the staff super friendly and the area was well taken care of and very relaxing. I stayed for only one night while passing through the area but can see returning if spending a week exploring the nearby parks and waterfalls. "
