At some point the lock assembly was updated, and instead of replacing the entire door and assembly at the same time, the original assembly was cut out and the new assembly retrofit to the door. Every time someone on our floor entered or exited their room, the sounds made by the lock not fitting properly were horrible. The HVAC unit rattled every time it came on and...

"We were first assigned to a room that was awful. The tv didn't function properly, the air conditioner sounded like a freight train, and there were used towels hanging on the back of the bathroom door. I asked to be moved to another room and the clerk moved us to a better room. The clerk was ok with the move, but she was not apologetic or concerned. I just wish the folks that greet us at motels would show some enthusiasm and friendliness."
