"This is one of our favorite hotels in the world. It is Old-World glam, and was a favorite of Ernest Hemingway's. The dining and hospitality are wonderful. We also love the sweet town of Stressa, set on Lago Maggiore. We went Baromee island hopping to beat the heat. The ferry stop was a few minutes stroll from the Hotel. Was all in all an unforgettable experience - and our second time there. We willbe back! ."

"A lovely boutique hotel in a very central location, just off Piazza Castello. Service is very efficient and staff very accomodating . Breakfast plentiful and very tasty. We had a Premium room, which was adequate and comfortable for our family of 4. The bathroom had 2 fixed shower heads - a handheld one would have been more convenient. The daily cleaning of the room was carried out very late (after 4pm) and this proved to be an inconvenience when we returned for a rest and some relief from the heat "
