"this is a terrific hotel: comfortable, ample room, newly renovated bathroom with nice amenities, good linens, teakettle andvteas/instany coffee in the room, espresso machine in the lobby. walking distance to the train/bus station, Trevi fountain and loads of other places. the only concerns are these: i didn't have good information about how to get into the hotel. it's on the fourth floor, in a building with at least two other hotels on other floors, which wasn't evident, and the wee elevator is...

"Excellent hotel with friendly efficient staff in a convenient location - 15 mins walk to Trevi fountain, under 30 mins walk to colosseum etc, or the metro station is very close if you want to save your feet. We stayed in a room on the 4th floor overlooking the piazza and it was very quiet by Rome standards ie some police sirens were audible now and then but not a problem. Some other reviews mentioned noise from the metro passing underneath the hotel but this really wasn’t an issue and could...

"Besides it’s very convenient location, Sabina and Manuela were most helpful and went out of their way to help us with recommendations about restaurants and places to visit and how to get there. "My stay started on a bad note when the front desk staff treated me rudely and as though I was his subordinate, who he needed to teach how to behave. I had just completed about a 14 hour commute and wasn't feeling well. The male staff spoke slowly with long pauses so I thought he was finished and I asked politely about the keys, and he stated something like I should first let him finish before asking about the keys in a nasty way. My husband corrected him and instead of apologizing, he went on...
