I checked to my room and it was in very poor shape (the couch cushions were torn and the couch itself was very heavily stained). My son was supposed to sleep on the couch and it was so bad I was ready to leave. They did put us in another room, which was better but still had some staining on the couch and just overall was tired (scratches all over the wood accents, TV sound was not working, old lighting by the beds that didn’t go on right away). I thought this was a Hyatt and was sorely disappointed by how much lower the standards were for the Hyatt Place.
I do want to say that the staff was great. They listened to my situation about the first room and addressed it right away. The maintenance and cleaning crews were working away all day and were always pleasant.
So if you are looking for a place to stay in the Tempe area, I think you could find a better place in the same price point. 4 out of 10 stars.
